The best porridge you’ll ever eat

Pret has taught us many things, this being one of them. Slow cook your porridge. Seriously.
If you don’t like oats, you now will.

Recipe, makes 1-2 portions;

1 cup oats (jumbo or rolled)
2 cups milk of choice
1 cup water
Big pinch salt

Method

  1. Add all your ingredients to medium saucepan, and leave on low heat for around 10-15 mins

  2. Check up on them, and adjust the heat accordingly

  3. Keep them on a low heat until they are thickened to your desired consistency.

  4. Add to a bowl and top with whatever you fancy - I also added a splash more milk.

  5. Store any leftover in an airtight container

Notes + Variations:

My favourite milk by far is Alpro soy milk. The sweetened one is delicious in this.
